Many of the conversations I’m having right now are with publishers focused on Q4 and doing what they can to make the most of it. There is quite a sense of relief that having some third-party cookies is better than a Q4 without them. However, there is a lot of pressure on teams coming into this Q4 that have had layoffs or operations management changes this past year. While plenty of partners are willing to help you scramble to make the most of this year, take a minute to think about next year and make a plan. One year from now, you may be able to automate and outsource many of the tasks on your plate today. You can have a partner put insights at your fingertips so you can make informed decisions. You can open up new revenue opportunities through self-serve. You can take more control over what goes into the bid stream. You can take more control, period. There is no single most important department at a publisher, but come Q4 ‘25, all eyes will be on those in revenue operations roles to help navigate. Your job is to get above the day-to-day chaos and start looking forward. Start making a plan. You’re essential to your company’s future not because of your ability to pull a report – but to understand what goes into that report and what the report means. Start digging out today.

I’m not going to question how you spend your money, but paying more than you have to for a ticket to Digital Day Camp (Oct 2nd, Toronto) isn’t the best idea. Summer pricing ends tomorrow. You know this is going to be the event everyone is talking about. Get this: you don’t even have to be Canadian to attend! That’s true! Check out the agenda and all the buzz on LinkedIn, but don’t get too distracted and miss some savings. We also expect to sell out, so there’s that. Register today.

I’ll be honest: There is so much going on that I’ve lost the script. Did we already share that we’ve added CTV expert Andrew Rosenman to the agenda? He’s also a media buyer and will join us on Wednesday with Publicis, Dentsu, and The Trade Desk, to provide buy-side perspectives to our conversations. Of course, that’s after we cover curation, consent, and 20 other topics in the days before. Then again, it seems everyone is fixated on the funky alien party on Tuesday night. Anyway, we’re still packing every bit of goodness into our time in Denver, and if you happen to be a publisher just waking up to how awesome this will be, we’ll fit you in. Register today.

I just spent the week in Madrid (thank you, Seedtag!), and I cannot wait to return to Spain. The agenda isn’t so set that we can’t make it worth your while to make the trip from wherever you might be. That’s the thing – our agendas are more directional than prescriptive: it’s our attendees on-site that truly create the agenda they need to make the most of their time at Base.Camp. So if you know you can help shape the agenda, you know it’ll be worth your time. It’s time to try our way of conferencin’. We’re convinced you’ll return to work with a new sense of purpose. Register today.
