I sure do like my camping related events. We’ve got a new one, it’s called Camp Fire. As much as I’d like to say it’s not a webinar, it is a virtual event where you’ll hear people talk about a topic. We think we’re on to a different format. We’ll take a topic like flooring, and we ask some experts to kick off the conversation and dive into a roundtable discussion with opinionated and knowledgeable members of our community. We push all of them to bring insightful ideas on how to move the conversation forward (it’s like a teeny-weeny Base Camp). Everyone is free to watch. We think it’s worth giving it a shot. In fact… Camp Fire: Where do publisher floors fit in the grand scheme of things? Sep 28 at 1 p.m. ET Establishing programmatic floors has long been a strategy for publishers – predating the move to first-price auctions. The practice however has a number of questions around it. Does dynamic flooring work? Does the buy side respect publisher floors? Are floor prices always passed through to the buy side accurately? We’ve assembled a group of experts from the publisher side, buy side, and ad tech side to weigh in. Our goal: find ways to collaborate and bring clarity to for all players on how flooring works and the role it plays in programmatic transactions. The roundtable isn’t full yet, but we are talking about people like Chris Kane, Stephen Mummey, Rebeca Solórzano, and Scott Messer giving their perspectives on this topic. I’ll get the chocolate and graham crackers, you get the marshmallows and register to attend here! Some other top line notes from me: – Dayna and I are at Digiday in Miami. I’ll be the guy in the Hawaiian shirt! – No DMEXCO, No Prog IO this year. We just can’t be everywhere. – Edinburgh:. Everything’s coming together. Fill out that survey if you are attending! – Self- Serve Summit: have you seen this agenda? Holy schnikes! Get in on this! – Prebid Summit: buy your tickets by 10/2 or you’ll be out of luck! Which brings us to November, and November means Navigator… and I guess Thanksgiving… |
